Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham Airport

The manager I spoke with the next morning was very kind and refunded both that night and the following night, which I hadn’t stayed. The staff had offered a different room, but I’d arrived late, around 10 pm, and was too tired to move. I got a room at Hyatt House for the next night, and that stay was good. I live in VA, work from home, and have an office in Cary, NC, so I’ve stayed at several area hotels. This one didn’t match their standards. The furniture was worn and chipped, the ottoman’s leather was damaged, the curtain was broken, and the mini fridge freezer had ice buildup. The pictures say it all. I assume other rooms have these issues too. I usually think of Hilton hotels as really nice, so they should consider remodeling.

The airport shuttle was quick and available when I needed it. I also had dinner and ordered the healthy meal, which was prepared very nicely. The lobby was inviting and comfortable to spend time in. My bathroom drains were extremely slow and needed maintenance. Also, although the website says lunch is served, they only have breakfast and dinner.

The location is convenient, and service is efficient. That’s about all I can say in favor of the place. We arrived very late and tired, so we just crashed, then got out as soon as possible. The room was not clean at all: stains on the ceiling and carpet, something splattered on the bathroom tile, orange, mildewed grout, and bathroom shelves that looked like they hadn’t been dusted in years. The continental breakfast was disgusting and overpriced. The pillows were so thin we had to ask for more. I expected more from Hilton.

The hotel’s great location and top-notch service made for an amazing stay. The lobby and rooms were spotless, and even the hallways smelled amazing. I absolutely love it here and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to stay.
