Hotel Avisa

The price was good, but I won’t stay there again. Everything else was just okay, a mediocre hotel. My mother-in-law needed me to wake up and help her get in and out of bed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The big boxes under the beds made it impossible for her to manage without help. It was ridiculous to have the beds that high in a hotel room.

For a room that was supposedly recently renovated, it wasn’t very good. The toilet wasn’t secured, some wall caulking was missing, and there were gaps in the bathroom grout. The walls were banged up, and the mattress seemed to have some kind of protective plastic cover that crinkled whenever I moved.

The location was the only good thing about room #302. I booked a basic room for one night, and the pictures of the rooms were VERY misleading. The whole room smelled like cigarettes, and the bedding was dirty. The shower curtain was torn and dirty. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It wasn’t worth putting up with the smell and grime.

The carpet was dirty and covered in black spots as soon as we got to the room. My baby boy was running around barefoot, and when I picked him up, his feet were black. My wife, son, and I only stayed one night and checked out the next day. After we got home from the couple-hour trip to Morro Bay, I realized I’d left valuable items behind. I know for a fact they were at the hotel. I called right away, but they brushed me off and told me to call when the manager was there. I did that the next morning, and the manager said they had no idea about my things, even after I described them. I had to accept the loss. I’d think twice before booking here.
