Holiday Inn Express & Suites Moses Lake

The interstate and plenty of places to eat are close by. It's an older building, but it seemed mostly clean, and the staff were pleasant. Breakfast was okay, and the towels were thick and soft. The room fridge was larger than most and had a freezer; the pillows were great, though the mattress was softer than I like. Our curtains had big stains, as if something had splashed or burst on them and dried without being cleaned. Apart from that, the room was nice enough. The TV was old-fashioned with basic cable.

I liked having a clock in the room so I didn't need to use my phone, plus a big padded bench that worked well for my suitcase. There were plenty of working outlets, a fridge, microwave, and Keurig in the room, and laundry if needed. Breakfast was included too. What's not to like?

My wife paid for the room, so I don't know what it cost. The mirrors had streaks or wipe marks, and the first-floor hallway carpet was extremely dirty. Water pressure was barely there in the shower but excessive at the sink. The coffee maker was broken, so I had to hold down the brew button, and the coffee came out cold. The pool was tiny and loud because of the low ceiling. The milk at breakfast was past its due date, and the sound on both the room TV and the dining area TV was horrible.

The breakfast was fantastic for a hotel in this price range. My room was clean and the bed was okay. It did get a bit noisy, perhaps the walls aren't insulated very well, though I sleep deeply and it didn't bother me. Could be an issue for lighter sleepers. The hotel itself felt pretty average and modern.
