Sleep Inn & Suites Moundsville - Wheeling

Barb at the front desk welcomed me by name, warmly and professionally, and I was glad I’d picked this hotel for a last-minute reservation. The room was neat and clean, the bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows, and the desk and table worked well for the bit of work I needed to do. I rarely write hotel reviews, but this stay at Sleep Inn & Suites (Wheeling) felt worth mentioning. I was breaking up a long drive home from far north and wanted to be near Grave Creek Mound and Museum. The hotel was convenient for that, and there was a really well-made booklet in the room with plenty of other local attractions I hadn’t known about. I make this trip a couple of times a year, so I plan to stop here again and explore some of them. The location gets four stars from me only because it’s in an industrial area without a stunning view. I expected that, and it says nothing about the lovely people or hotel inside. I’m grateful for Barb’s kindness and welcome. She’s a credit to the Choice hotel chains.
