The Estate at Mount Dora

The little kitchenette made our stay convenient, and the room was really clean and comfortable. Shops downtown are about a ten-minute walk, with several good restaurants just a couple minutes away. This place is a gem. I'd give it a 10 if I could, and we'll definitely come back.

Our 37th anniversary vacation was wonderful, and the stay made the occasion feel even more special. Everything was plus plus plus, from the spotless, well-equipped room and soft linens to the incredibly comfortable bed. Even the coffee tasted delicious. Kudos to the owners and staff. We can't wait to return!

The old oak trees and lovely historic buildings give The Estate at Mount Dora a calm, scenic feel, and downtown is an easy walk for restaurants, shops, and galleries. The suites have comfortable beds with premium bedding, memory foam mattresses, mini kitchens, big TVs, and free WiFi. It's a nice place for groups who want to stay together while still having their own privacy, and the setting is relaxing. Upkeep was uneven in my suite. Nats were swarming around the room, microwave, and fridge, and lizards somehow kept getting into the bathroom. Under the bed was dusty and dirty, and the bathroom could use repairs for a leaking sink and mold. If you can live with charm over perfection, the historic character and location still have a lot going for them.

The rooms were clean and nice, but the outside looked dirty and run down, and didn't match the online photos. Dust and debris from the landscape crew got blown all over our car. The light outside our room was hanging by its cord, and our patio looked neglected. The chair cushions were dirty, so it wasn't somewhere we wanted to sit and relax. After what we paid, I definitely wouldn't stay here again.
