The Heirloom Inn

We stayed one night in guest room 2 at the Heirloom Inn and had a great time. The suite was nice and smelled very clean, with everything we needed for a short stay: a microwave, coffee pot, bottled water, small refrigerator, and bathroom essentials. The location is great, just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Parking is behind the property, close to the room, which was handy since we walked everywhere and didn't need to look for parking. Check-in was easy, with the information sent ahead and no office visit needed. As newcomers, we enjoyed the town and found our way around on foot. Just keep in mind that places often close early on weekdays, and some restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We'll return and plan to stay longer.

The location is amazing. I didn't interact with the services, but the six suites are charming and cozy. The property is old and has some quirks, though I have no complaints. One suggestion: suite 4's bathroom gets muggy and steamy during showers, so it needs an opening window or a vent.

We had everything we needed, including free coffee and tea, and the rooms were awesome. The staff were very helpful, accommodating, and nice, and David the owner was helpful and nice too. Right in the heart of downtown Mt. Dora, the place made it easy to walk everywhere. We absolutely loved it and will definitely stay again!

We usually visit downtown Mount Dora, but this time we decided to stay the night. The Heirloom made communication easy by text, and check-in was contact free with a code. We stayed in Sapphire ( number 4) at the back, where the suite's location and covered parking suited us perfectly. It was freshly cleaned, well equipped, and looked just like the website pictures. The beds were soft and inviting, and I appreciated having toiletries in the bathroom. The location is a plus, only a block from the good places downtown. The only thing keeping this from five stars is housekeeping's dusting. The blinds and furniture needed more attention, and we turned off the ceiling fan because the room was already nicely cold. Seeing layers of dust on its blades was unexpected and disappointing. If that gets corrected, we'll be back, and next time we'll book the full kitchen suite. That was our original plan, but it wasn't available.
