The room had everything we needed, from a little kitchen and whirlpool tub to a big shower and comfy recliners for resting our legs after walking around the fair. Gary showed us how it all worked, including the cozy fireplace, and the soft bed and fluffy blankets made for a comfortable night. Breakfast came in a basket and was delicious. Ann and Gary made us feel at home, and Gary was flexible when we arrived late after a day at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival. We were greeted by his very friendly cats, especially Chatty, who'd apparently turned up on the farm as a kitten and came to say hello again in the morning. We only had one night, and wished we could've stayed longer. It was a peaceful, quiet getaway, and we definitely plan to come back.

A lovely, romantic cottage that was extremely clean and well stocked. The owner was attentive whenever we had a question or request. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and brought to us each morning. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Anne and Gary are so friendly and clearly care about making guests feel at home. The grounds were lovely even in winter, and I can't wait to come back in spring or fall to enjoy the outdoor spaces. This is a gem tucked away while still close to everything people visit Lancaster County for. My husband and I live locally and chose the Chicken Coop for a winter getaway. It was relaxing and luxurious, spotlessly clean, bright, cozy, and homey, with a fireplace, two comfortable recliners, a jacuzzi tub, a kitchenette, and a dining area. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. The breakfast deserves its own praise: it came right to the doorstep, with generous portions of delicious food and juice.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The owners were welcoming, and the whole property, including the charming coop, was beautiful. I've never stayed anywhere so clean and carefully maintained, and all the thoughtful details made it comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast came to the door and was out of this world, with every bite making the morning feel special. This was the best place we've ever stayed. It exceeded our expectations, and we'd happily come back.
