Rocky Acre Farm Bed and Breakfast

The owners are incredibly welcoming, offering hayrides and tractor rides for the kids. On this working farm, children can feed calves, collect chicken eggs, and spend time with the goats. The prices are reasonable for such a good experience. It's a real hidden gem in Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and we hope there's room for us to come back.

We've been coming here since our kids were tiny, and now they're in college, we still return. The people are what make it so special. The family who runs Rocky acres farm are amazing, and the rooms and food are great too. There's lots for kids to do, and it feels like visiting family in their home rather than just staying at an inn. God bless them. And watch out for the kittens, or one might end up coming home with you!

I was trying to track this place down because I stayed there when my kids were little, and we had a great time. I remember the dad, Jess, and the mom. She talked very loudly because she stuttered as a child and found that speaking loudly helped her avoid stuttering. I assume they may have passed away by now, though I remember other family members too. I also remember that the house was part of the Underground Railroad. I hope to bring my grandkids there sometime soon. It was a great experience.

Breakfast was great, and so was the coffee. We got up early and had lovely conversations with the other families staying there. Our weekend with our 3 1/2-year-old granddaughter was one of the best vacations we've had. It was relaxing for us adults and brought her endless joy. She fed milk bottles to the cows, collected eggs from the chicken house, and found a blue egg. She played with the other kids and spent lots of time in the full-size Playhouse and petting the kittens around the farmhouse. She loved the tractor rides, visiting the goats and miniature horse, and waiting with everyone for the breakfast bell to ring. Really well done and worth the trip.
