We stopped overnight while driving from Florida to Tennessee, getting in around 7:00pm. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, and professional. There were mud footprints on our room floor, though, and breakfast was disappointing. We came down at 9:00, during the 6:30 - 9:30 am breakfast hours, but there was no dough in the waffle maker, no biscuits for the gravy, and no attendant around. I went to the receptionist, who was in a little office working on her private laptop. I waited a long time and had to call out before she noticed me. She walked back with me to the breakfast area. I noticed she had a cigarette behind her ear, despite the non-smoking hotel and all the notices warning of a $250.00 fine for smoking. She said they were out of biscuits and suggested putting the gravy on toast instead. We definitely won't use that hotel again.

The front desk staff member checked me and my family in quickly and was friendly. She also graciously arranged first-floor rooms for me and my parents. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel was conveniently close to the interstate and not too far from the casino. A great place to stay in Alabama, and I'd come back.

Getting here was a relief after the Baymont by Wyndham we had booked online turned out filthy, with blood splatter on the walls and not fit for humans to stay. We didn't arrive in town until almost midnight, so having to find another place after seeing that disaster was stressful. At La Quinta, we got a clean room and a great breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend.

We travel cross country, and La Quinta Inn is a practical place to stop rather than a five star resort. It's usually right off a major freeway exit, with plenty of restaurants within walking or driving distance. This stay was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast had both hot and cold options. They welcome pets, which mattered a lot to us, and they even let us bring the cat. We'll look for La Quinta at our next destination.

The bed was nice and clean, unlike the rest of the room. Noise kept waking me all night: the roadway, the AC unit, and sounds from other rooms and the hallway all seemed to be competing. If you're a light sleeper, don't stay here.
