Chestnut Grove Village

We’re planning to return next year. It was a pleasant, quiet spot, with clean rooms and plenty of space. The cable TV was enough to put something on when we wanted to watch.

We lost the chance to take our weeklong vacation after I was in an accident on the way there. I’d paid $440, so I called to explain that we couldn’t make the trip. Angel said she’d handle it and that we could choose new dates. After months of unanswered emails, calls, and voicemails, I gave up trying to reschedule. It seems they care about the money more than the people. Don’t book here.

Seeing what has become of Naomi Village is heartbreaking. It used to be beautiful and peaceful, with the same families coming back year after year. My family vacationed there 30 years ago when the Reiss's owned it. Since Carl passed away and someone else took over, the place has gone to shambles. Each time we drive through, we feel worse than the year before. The last time we looked, it was disgusting. It’s had so many “new” owners. Really?

It’s a cozy place with friendly staff, and the rates are decent. The property is a little dated, though they’re working on upgrades. The free Wi-Fi is very slow, so this won’t work if you need high-speed internet during your stay.
