TownePlace Suites by Marriott Seattle Everett/Mukilteo

The front desk people were nice, but this is the worst Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at, and I travel for work 30% of the time. The desk was sticky, and there was hair and some red substance in the shower. I called to ask housekeeping for a thorough cleaning, but they only made the bed and cleaned nothing else. A client staying here had to switch rooms four times before getting one that was half decent.

I arrived around 8:30pm on December 6th to find a warm, tidy, quiet atmosphere, exactly what I like. The employee working that evening was one of the kindest, friendliest, and most professional people I’ve met. She greeted me with a warm smile, remembered my name, and clearly explained the amenities, parking, and how to find the room. I highly recommend TownePlace Suites by Marriott Seattle Everett/Mukilteo to anyone looking for a quiet, clean getaway with great staff, rooms, food, and atmosphere. At check-in, tell them Patrick the “MAVERICK” sent you. They might not remember me, and you probably won’t get a discount, but it’s a fun thing to say and might get a laugh!

The employees were all wonderful. They seem to care and work hard to make guests happy. Rooms were very clean, and the place is a great value. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub, which they kept warm. Breakfast was good and had some nice hot options. The coffee was excellent, and they even had fresh half and half for it, not the little packets. It’s rare to find such good coffee in a hotel, which was a nice touch.

I checked out as soon as I had the chance. I sleep during the day because I work at night, so I planned around the room-service schedule, but they skipped my room on the scheduled day and it was irritating. This didn’t feel like a typical Marriott standard hotel. The first room smelled very musty and moldy, and the windows wouldn’t open without a special tool that neither I nor the front desk had. They switched me to another room, which was nice, but the floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and the coffee maker still had grounds from the last guest.
