SpringHill Suites Chicago Southeast/Munster IN

The rooms are okay, but the TV is badly placed and there's a delay when changing channels. After I left for work and came back to a cleaned room, I noticed my Playstation 5 controller was gone. I don't think I'll stay here anymore.

The person handling customer service at this location on March 1st, 2026 at 7:44am was very rude. I called about a reservation I'd made the night before but never checked into. The hotel took $200 from my account, although it clearly said the money would be taken only if I checked in. While I tried to explain, she spoke loudly, wouldn't let me get a word in, said she wasn't going to help me at all, and had an attitude. Taking someone's money when they never used your services is fraud. She needs to be written up or possibly fired.

Hotels.com helped me sort this out and get my money back, thankfully. The whole experience with SpringHill Suites Munster was chaotic and unprofessional. The hotel first canceled my reservation and said I'd be relocated. I immediately asked for a refund and whether anything else could be done. Over an hour later, Lynsey, the General Manager, said another guest had been “walked” to a different hotel, so my reservation was reinstated. By then, all the back and forth had already changed my plans. I clearly said I no longer wanted the reservation and just needed a refund. But because the reservation was now “valid” again, I was told I wouldn't get one. Management handled the situation poorly and communication wasn't consistent. I'll never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this property.

This place felt like lipstick on a pig, old with some new, and it didn't seem well maintained. The snack prices felt like highway robbery, as if they weren't meant for people staying at the hotel. The best thing was how close it was to my actual destination. I'd stay again if I had to, but I think I could do better across the street. Not bad, but not great.
