Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Muskegon Norton Shores

Will made a real difference during my stay. He was professional, upbeat, and always seemed ready to get things done with a smile. Please pass along my thanks to him. I’d just gotten home after a very pleasant visit. The place was clean, had no bugs, and smelled great when I walked in.

We were a family of four traveling from outside the country, and the service during our stay was unacceptable. Housekeeping was lacking, breakfast service was inconsistent, and the internet was out for half a day. Front desk staff also refused to bring towels to our room and got confrontational when we made a simple request for water. This was far below what we expected. We won’t recommend this hotel to anyone. For the bad service, I’d give it zero stars.

The place was clean and in a good spot near shops. We arrived at 5am, and they very graciously let us check out late so we could sleep. The towels were big and fluffy, the shower was excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is being renovated.

There was construction in the hallways outside the rooms, so the first impression wasn’t great. Still, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Charles at the front desk was especially kind and welcoming. He talked us through all our questions during the stay and made the hotel feel familiar.
