Bali Bay Resort

Rey was awesome and did a great job managing the place. It was a quiet, peaceful resort, and our family had a blast during our Myrtle Beach vacation. This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. We’d happily recommend it to families and plan to make it our regular spot for future trips.

We stayed for two weeks, and the property manager Ray treated us so well. He even got us a great grill to use, and made the place feel like home. The two-bedroom condo was enormous, spotless, and stocked with everything we could need. The photos really don’t show how nice it is. After 25 years of coming to myrtle, this has been my favorite place to stay. We’ll be back every summer. Thanks, Ray, for everything!

The beds were clean and comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and when I asked late for paper supplies, they brought them first thing in the morning. But the stay was disappointing for the price, especially compared with the online pictures. The condo was clean and roomy, though not nearly as nice as it looked online, and our balcony faced the motel. There was no hand soap, and the dishes didn’t look clean, so we bought cheap plastic dishes, cleaner, and soap at Target. The place also had a broken floor tile, damaged closet doors, a broken bed frame, wall dings, and a dryer that didn’t work. Check-in instructions came only a few hours beforehand and were unclear, so I had to ask questions. There’s no check-in desk; you use one code for the building and another for your condo. Parking is under the building on the ground level, with few spaces. When we came back during the day, people in golf carts had taken spots instead of using beach parking, and we couldn’t find one. Overflow parking is a block away. We never used the pool, and the hot tub was closed. The pool at the awful motel next door looked much better, based on its reviews. We were told a parking pass was on the table, but it wasn’t, and we waited an hour for it to be delivered. The location is right by beach access, but the area didn’t feel safe to us. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I booked two three-bedroom condos for my family of 11, and the place let us down. The units didn’t seem to have been cleaned before we arrived: there were dirty footprints in the bathtub, and the washer and dryer closet was very dusty and dirty. It looked like nothing had been wiped down, and the rooms didn’t match the photos online. After dark, roaches took over my parents’ condo. There were lots of adults and babies throughout the unit. I tried calling for help, but nobody answered, and there was no one on site to talk to. I had to pay for another hotel room so my parents could feel safe and comfortable. I can’t recommend staying here. Book somewhere in north Myrtle Beach for a more pleasant experience.
