Bermuda Sands on the Boardwalk

We had a lovely stay at Bermuda Sands in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the ocean view from our room was beautiful. Watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks over the water was a highlight and a memorable way to welcome the new year. The staff were warm and welcoming from the start. Charnett at the front desk was especially kind and helpful, making check-in easy, and the manager was attentive and professional throughout. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend Bermuda Sands for its friendly service and oceanfront views.

I love the hotel’s location, and I understand it’s an older place with some things you expect. Still, my room was a complete mess when I arrived. I was too exhausted from traveling to ask for another one. The check-in associate seemed more interested in her cellphone than in being friendly. At checkout, the associate blamed the problems on low tourist season, but there’s no excuse for a messy room, whatever time of year it is.

The view from our room was nice, and we liked being so close to the boardwalk. The front desk woman was helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean enough, though we did spot a few bugs. That may be expected on a lower floor that’s probably more prone to flooding. We’d likely stay again because the access was so easy.

I needed another quick ocean getaway and ended up back at Bermuda Sands. I always book an oceanfront room, but this sixth-floor king room with a balcony is the best one I’ve had here. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the service is friendly. Thanks for another good stay, Bermuda Sands. I think this room will work out great!
