The view from inside the room was hands down the best I've ever had at a resort. The room was clean and well stocked, and we made good use of the endless coffee bar in the lobby. The staff were all pleasant, and there's a really nice indoor pool and hot tub. We'll definitely come back.

The rooms were really nice and comfortable, and I hope to see you all at the SeaGlass Tower again soon. The weekend got off to a rough start, but the whole staff worked hard to fix what the Bluegreen Preview center had got wrong. That included housekeepers, supervisors, front desk staff, and the Bluegreen team coordinating the presentation meetings, Brianna and Tiffany aka Jennifer. Only one elevator was working. The hotel staff were understanding and apologetic, unlike the preview center staff, who couldn't understand that my sister-in-law was stuck in the elevator and running late, even after the hotel had told them what was happening. I love you guys.

Our view of the beach and the street from the 11th floor was great. The cold weather at the start had us glad we'd brought winter jackets, and it warmed up toward the end of the week. Shops were easy to walk to, and we loved walking a long way along the boardwalk. The staff were nice and helpful whenever we needed anything. Getting everyone checked out at 10 was chaotic with only two elevators. I wish checkout were listed as 10 to 11, since every other hotel we've stayed at has checkout at 11. Parking by the hotel was also terrible. Other than that, everything was okay.

Heather was especially wonderful, sharing lots of useful local knowledge and tips about restaurants and things to do. Everyone on staff was awesome, attentive, and helpful. Even though the resort is a timeshare, nobody pressured me to sign up for anything or buy one. I simply said no thank you, explaining that a friend who works for BlueGreen/RCI had gifted us the stay and I wasn't interested or in a position to buy, and they accepted that. The room on the 19th floor, #1905, was immaculately clean with an unbeatable view of the sunrises. Some reviews called the suite too small, but it felt just right for my 12-year-old son and me. We were there for his Spring Break a few weeks ago, and the week had been gifted to us through BlueGreen/RCI, so I honestly didn't know what to expect. The location was my favorite thing. The beach was only steps away, and my son loved being next to the boardwalk with so much for kids to do. We flew in and used Lyft to get to the resort and back to the airport, including a 4 a.m. pickup that I was nervous about but that went smoothly. Rides were easy to find at all hours, usually within minutes, so I didn't need to rent a car. We took another Lyft to spend the day at Broadway, I think that's what the area was called, where there's an Aquarium, another shopping and boardwalk-style spot, and Paula Deen's restaurant. The indoor pool is small but heated, and my son used it when the outdoor pool was too cold. The outdoor pool isn't heated, which was too cold for me, though kids don't mind. There were lots of loungers outside and a small hot tub. Inside, there was just one bench for two people and nowhere else for parents to sit while their kids swam. Every parent there seemed disappointed by the lack of seating. There's a nicer indoor jacuzzi too, with the same kind of two-seater bench, but it's separated from the pool so you can't keep direct eye contact with kids swimming inside. That wasn't an issue for me since my son is older, but most of the time there was nowhere to sit. I hope we can return next year.

The rooms are very small, though the end units have an amazing view and seem to be limited. The marketing and customer service experience was deeply frustrating. In writing, owners are entitled to one update per unit. If two people staying in the same unit have separate contracts, each can do an update on their own; if they're both on one contract, they must attend together. I was the only person in my unit, while my son stayed at two other resorts during my vacation. When I arrived for my update on 2/4/26, I was told I couldn't attend. They said my co-owner couldn't do an update in the same region on the same day, though that isn't in the eligibility requirements. After I learned my son's resort marketing was closed on Wednesdays, and Feb 4th was a Wednesday, I asked for more information. Then I was told I could attend, but soon after that I was told again that I couldn't because our vacation dates overlapped, and that separate days no longer counted. That also isn't in the listed requirements. Tiffany, who I think was the resort marketing manager or next in line, told me I could go if my son went on a different day and said she'd give me an extra $25 for the trouble. Then she changed the reason and said I couldn't attend at all because our vacations overlapped. I asked for someone higher up and was put in touch with Cara at the HGV preview center. She didn't try to explain why her reading of the eligibility rules differed from what was printed. She just kept saying I wasn't eligible and offered no proof or other written requirements to support the refusal. HGV didn't follow its own rules, in my view. I believe they repeatedly lied because they thought I wouldn't buy more points, withheld an owner entitlement on purpose, and didn't care. I escalated by email and through the front desk to Matthew Donohue, an HGV executive, and was told he'd get back to me. He hadn't contacted me by the time I wrote this. When I tried Cara again, my calls went straight to voicemail. Since Hilton bought Bluegreen, customer service has ceased to exist, in my experience. The hot tub at Sea Glass wasn't hot enough, so I had to go to Harbour Lights, another Myrtle Beach resort, to use its outdoor hot tub, even though Sea Glass's is indoors. Two elevators were there, but only one worked. The room phone didn't work either. Maintenance told me I was wrong until my son showed him. He then said the handset was broken and I had to use speakerphone. The room was supposed to have all the conveniences of home, yet didn't even have a pot, so I boiled potatoes in a frying pan. I was approached outside the resort by a homeless man asking for a piece of pizza when I was coming back with dinner, and people camp on the benches outside. There's also a large stray-cat problem just outside, which is getting worse because someone local leaves food and drink there instead of trying to have the cats caught and homed. The only positive for me was the view from the limited number of end units. I say save your money and avoid Hilton and HGV properties. I felt they treated me disrespectfully, wouldn't resolve my problems, and denied the hospitality and entitlements I believe I was promised. I wouldn't want this business serving me during a much-needed vacation. I believe Hilton and HGV won't deliver what they promise. Don't get scammed.
