Units At Boardwalk Beach Resort By Elliott Beach Rentals

I booked at the last minute through Airbnb, and the stay was a nightmare from check-in to checkout. The receptionist took my ID to scan and didn't return it. I ended up driving all the way back from South Carolina without a driver's license, and now I'm in North Carolina without one because she failed to give it back. The room was decent, except the toilet barely flushed. At checkout I was told I'd be charged for pool bands, which hadn't been mentioned when I checked in. Then, almost two hours down the road, I saw a resort fee charge on my credit card, even though I had paid that fee in cash at check-in. There was no record of the cash payment. I can honestly say the African-American female who checked me in made the stay not worth it.

Once we got into our room, we were happy with it, even though I was initially disappointed we weren't in the main building. It was so quiet, and the room was clean with housekeeping on point. The front desk staff were amazing. For the price, it was amazing, especially if you want a quiet family vacation without worrying about bugs or people. If you criticize everything, this may not be the place for you. I'll definitely stay again and request the same room. They made my birthday weekend great. I'd give it 10 out of 10 if I could.

I've stayed at this resort in past years, but this visit was the worst. There were no drink machines anywhere in the tower, the elevators kept going out of service, and there was only one ice machine for the whole tower. The place constantly smelled of smoke and marijuana, even though it's supposed to be smoke-free. The beds were hard as bricks and the springs squeaked whenever we moved. It definitely needs an upgrade!

Taylor at the front desk is amazing. I must have worn her out with all my questions, but she handled them like a champ. She even helped decorate my room for my girlfriend's birthday. Hands down amazing! If every hotel had a Taylor, I'd never be home. Thank you, Taylor 🖤
