The room was spacious, and most of it seemed decent. For what we paid, it wasn’t bad. There were some issues: it looked a little sketchy, trash was left under the beds, and the toilet leaked now and then. I’d bring your own blankets and things to put on the bed just in case there are bed bugs. We checked the beds and everything seemed fine. My family and I didn’t find the room that bad overall.

The room was dirty and trashy, the sheets smelled awful, and there were bedbugs. The pictures didn’t match what we got. We asked to move rooms and at least have the owner change the sheets, but he refused, got aggressive, and told us to leave if we didn’t like it. We had originally booked two bedrooms, then realized we needed a third. When we arrived, the room wasn’t what we’d booked and had only one bedroom. We also had to pay $30 for parking and another $10 for the key. I called the police to see if they could help us get a refund, but they didn’t help. We lost more than $1,000 on a room like this. It was absolutely not worth the money, and this place should be closed for good. Please don’t book here.

The location is the one thing this place has going for it. At check-in, the owner unexpectedly asked for another $166 even though I thought I’d paid online. We also paid $38 for our 7-pound dog for three nights and a $20 key deposit, bringing the total to nearly $560. He was rude throughout. After a family member who helped us book left a negative check-in rating, the owner came over and demanded that we call them and get it removed or leave. We agreed because we had few weekend options. The room smelled, the microwave didn’t work, only one outlet worked, the sink barely drained, and the toilet needed plunging to flush. We also couldn’t leave our dog in the room while we went to the ocean: after we’d been at the beach for ten minutes, the owner called to complain about barking, so we had to go back. Dogs are only allowed on the beach during certain hours, which made that especially difficult. Poor service, and I wouldn’t return.

For a cheap place near the beach, the bed and couch were comfortable and the room was reasonably decent. The TV was there too. But there was mold on the ceiling over the shower, and the bathroom had no outside doorknob. Management was the biggest problem: the guy was rude, charged an extra $20 for the room key, and insisted checkout was at 11:00 exactly. It has some useful basics, but the downsides outweighed them for me.
