Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach Tapestry Hilton

The kids had such a great time that they want to stay 500 more days! We spent four days at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront with our three children, ages 6, 9, and 11, and loved it from beginning to end. There's direct access to the beach, and being beside the ocean made the setting feel beautiful and relaxing. Parking was easy and well organized, a big help with a family. Service across the resort was great, with special thanks to Lindsay R. in the restaurant. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive, and made breakfast memorable. Breakfast had great quality and variety, and was a perfect start to each day. Everything felt well planned and professionally run. It works just as well for families as for adults looking to relax. We're already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

The check-in staff were lovely and helpful, and checking in was easy. My family stopped here for one night on Saturday after driving around Myrtle. The indoor pool was crowded, but fine for a short stay. Then our room key wouldn't work. We got a new one at the desk, but that didn't work either. Maintenance took 15 minutes to arrive, so with two dripping kids on a chilly evening, we went back to the front desk. By the time we returned, the card reader had been fixed. It seems to happen regularly. The real problem was the hot water. We tried to get one child in the shower, but the water stayed cold for five minutes after warming up for only two seconds. My daughter had to shower in cold water, and the next morning I still couldn't get hot water. Very disappointing.

Before we headed to the beach, my wife and I stopped for a drink at the Ocean Blue Lounge at the Doubletree Resort. Kenita was our bartender and greeted us with a smile. She made us two delicious cocktails and was so pleasant to talk to, we didn't want to leave. Thanks, Kenita, for making our day even better! 🥰

This feels more like a motel than a hotel, and shouldn't be classified as one. Everything is extremely dated and poorly maintained. The whole place is open, so someone could easily walk up the garage and reach any guest room door, even on the top floor.
