Fountainbleau Inn

The rooms have been fixed up recently, with nice floors, paint, and decor that feels comfortable for everyday living. The office staff are great, and the location is perfect. It’s pet friendly, too, and by far the best choice for a long-term rental. Sometimes people gather outside and play music at odd hours, but that’s eased off a lot lately. I’d recommend it to friends or family coming to the area.

The room looked nice and smelled great when my boyfriend and I walked in. Then we brought out our food, and roaches came from everywhere. I mean every kind of roach imaginable, all in one room. On our last night we saw the BIG BOSS roach, and it was huge. It was just nasty. I regret staying here and feel like I wasted my money. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We paid almost $500 for five nights, but after our first night we decided to ask for a refund. Students stay here every year and party all night, with music turned all the way up, yelling, cussing, and singing bar songs. The pool and deck were left covered in beer cans and food wrappers, and students smoked pot by the pool. The security guard said he’d have them turn the music off, but it was still blaring at midnight. There are kids here and people who have to work early, and nobody showed them any respect. The security, manager, and manager’s husband were no help. We couldn’t be paid enough to stay here again.

The staff were very rude, and this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Myrtle Beach. I’ve stayed at many others and never been treated this badly. My tiled floors were sticky, even though they should have been easy to clean. The pool was said to close at dark, but other people were still allowed into the pool area, and guests couldn’t use it as late as workers could. The front desk guy said they worked in the strip, but I felt he was being racist. There was noise until about 2 a.m., when they could at least have kept things quiet so some guests could sleep. I would never recommend this place.
