Grande Beach Resort

After a 16-hour drive from Michigan, my family and I reached the Grand Beach Resort at 2:30 a.m. Shamika, if I remember her name correctly, was working on the reservation at check-in. She was friendly, sweet, humble, and welcoming, and deserves a thumbs up for her service. We had a clean, fragrant two-bedroom, one-bathroom room with a small kitchen, refrigerator, and two TVs, facing the stunning Atlantic Ocean. My family really enjoyed our stay, and the place left us with lovely memories. Security staff were friendly and helpful, too. Myrtle Beach is beautiful and worth visiting. Don’t forget to stay at the Grand Beach Resort 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Every room faced the ocean, and ours was clean and acceptable, with an awesome view. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday at the Grande Beach Resort and would recommend it to friends and colleagues. The hospitality was far from amazing, though the staff were very professional with customers.

The nice view couldn’t make up for an experience that fell short, and I don’t think it was worth the price. We came with family and found the room condition disappointing. The photos are deceiving: the building is old, and the furniture and space show a lot of wear. The in-room AC was outdated and loud, and a strong unpleasant smell in the room never went away, even though the bathrooms seemed to have had some renovation. Housekeeping doesn’t come unless you stay more than three days. You’re expected to take used towels to the lobby and exchange them for clean ones, and parking is very limited. They offer free glasses for good reviews, which could explain the higher ratings. Unless you’re okay with the discomfort, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We were unsure about keeping our nonrefundable reservation after seeing mixed reviews, but I’m glad we went ahead. The two-bedroom unit at the Grande Beach Resort was clean, well arranged, and had three separate places to relax, which suited our family. The beds were comfortable, and the spacious modern kitchen came stocked with everything we needed. It felt like home. The resort is just steps from the beach, and the pool was clean and inviting. We felt safe and comfortable throughout. I also liked the overflow parking across the street. It was an easier fit for our larger vehicle, and only a short walk back. The location is convenient, and for a family friendly budget stay right on the beach, this was a fantastic experience. We’d happily return and recommend it.
