The drive from Ohio could've been shorter, lol. The location itself was perfect, between the boardwalk and Barefoot Landing. For nearby meals, we liked the fried fish and Spicey Margarita at Salt and Lime. The crab legs and scallops at Mr. Fish couldn't be beat for taste, quantity, quality, or price. The hotel and condos were very clean, and towels were replaced whenever we asked. Staff throughout were friendly. It was about a 50-yard walk down a side street to the beach, and all the rooms had excellent ocean views. The beach was clean and not crowded, with clean water and waves that were great for bodyboarding with kids or adults.

The balconies are angled so you can see both the ocean and the nearby forested area. The resort is beautiful, with a wonderful view. The staff are always warm and friendly, and I've never come across a rude guest in the building. Rooms have nice balconies, equipped kitchens, and outlets galore. Construction on new homes nearby can sometimes be noisy.

The architecture is cool and pleasing, and we had an awesome extended stay. Our room was huge and very well set up for a longer visit, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the room, and plenty of dishes and cookware. The pools were all nice, well maintained, and fun. The whole place is nonsmoking, even on balconies. It's not brand new, but that didn't bother us at all. The off-season was really pleasant, and the ocean was warm enough to enjoy, while the pools are heated. Lots of people were sitting out on the beach, even without swimwear. The facility, staff, and time of year all helped make it one of our best stays. The hotel next door has a modest but very good cafe and bar open to the public. A shopping center is a pleasant walk or two-minute drive away, with two good grocery stores, one standard and one high-end, a couple of salons, and a great bookstore. This place is hard to beat for views, location, beach and shopping access, service, and rooms. We'd definitely return if we get the chance.

I visited Horizon at 77th with my grandmother, and sharing the trip with her made it especially memorable. The ocean views were stunning, and the atmosphere was both relaxing and exciting. Everything felt clean and well cared for, and the amenities were great. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end, and I'd love to come back.

Big thanks to Yana at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful, always greeted us with a smile, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I've never had better customer service anywhere else we've stayed. Our three-bedroom unit #116 was very clean. The grandkids enjoyed the pool, though the lazy river was closed. We'll be back :)
