A nice place for a good week, and the boys really enjoyed their stay. Bring your own soap, toilet paper, and garbage bags, since those are things that should be provided. Other than that, it’s a good spot.

Our family took our parents on a wedding anniversary vacation to 704 South Ocean Blvd, Unit 101B, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. We came from just outside Chicago and from Georgia, and included my one- and three-year-old nieces. As the stay went on, things got worse, and the owners, MAGGIE & JOHN QUINLAN, offered no help or care. We eventually found the unit uninhabitable. There was broken glass on the living room table when we arrived, and it took two days for someone to remove it. Mold in the CHILDREN'S bedroom was discovered after the girls had slept there for several nights, and a mold test confirmed it. For safety, we had to quarantine that room for the rest of the trip, pushing family onto the couch and into other rooms. Water pooled in the ceiling and started leaking after the second day, directly above the DINNER TABLE. Ceiling debris fell as holes formed there and in other parts of the kitchen. Water also pooled in the kitchen closet, came through the ceiling, and FILLED a WIRED ELECTRICAL LIGHT FIXTURE. Water ran into the walls and the living area, kitchen, and other spaces. The email they gave us for reporting problems never received a response. They wouldn’t even acknowledge that the account they had provided to “take care of” issues was bogus. After countless emails and posting on social media about what happened, we finally reached the owners. Their lawyer told us by email that they’d issue a full refund if we removed our negative posts. We did, including one post they said we’d missed, and checked twice and then again to make sure all the negative posts were gone. We even commented on the Google review that the issues had been resolved. Then the QUINLAN'S LAWYER said they were withdrawing the offer. We got no refund and couldn’t restore the old posts or reviews, so I’m writing a new one. We have photos and videos of what we experienced. MAGGIE & JOHN QUINLAN showed no compassion, were extremely difficult to deal with, and went back on their lawyer’s written refund agreement. This isn’t the first time they’ve done something like this, and PLEASE HELP make it the LAST. Another family reportedly couldn’t stay because everyone had to evacuate for a HURRICANE. When they asked for half their money back, they were refused and told they could only change their dates for an ADDITIONAL $600. PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD AND STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ELSE. Thank you. There was so much wrong that I’m sure I’ve missed things. Thankfully, our family is okay, and we hope others can avoid the nightmare that is the QUINLAN'S.

The room was great for our winter break, with clean beds and plenty of space for everyone. It seemed like nearly every room was occupied, which says something about the place. The pool and lazy river were really dirty, though, one hot tub wasn't working, and the little kids' area was cold. The water features there didn't seem to be working either.

The location works if you don't mind driving 10-15 minutes to get to different things, and beach access is right across the street. The pool could've been cleaner, and the kids could've stayed in the children's area, lol, but that's vacation. The beds were complete shite, though, which is why I'm giving it three stars. Personally, I prefer Ocean City Maryland.
