Getting around starts with a five-level parking garage, then elevators up to the room. There are indoor and outdoor pools, plus a small arcade, pizzeria, and casual dine-in restaurant. The restaurant has outdoor seating, lunch and dinner menus with typical American beach food like burgers and fried dishes, tropical drinks, and Coke products. In March 2025, happy hour ran 4-7: domestic beer was $4; margaritas, mimosas, and bloody marys were $7; wine and house liquor were $5. Appetizers cost $5-$9, a cheeseburger with fries was $8, and one deep-fried fish fillet with fries was $9. Weekend breakfast buffet was $13.99 for adults and about $8.99 for kids, with grits, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, snack-size donuts, cereal, pancakes, and French toast. There's also a coffee shop before the entrance to the dine-in restaurant, with prices ranging from $4 to 13 dollars. The convenience store is way overpriced. I ordered groceries from Publix and Food Lion through Instacart instead. Tower rooms are clean, though sand gets everywhere and floors are typically wet. Beach access is nice, with two ramps and outdoor areas to rinse sand off. Public parking is on 74th avenue, and River City Cafe is close by. From October to March it's off-season, so the pizza place only opens Friday and Saturday; regular season starts in April. Good for families and couples.
The South Tower apartment, room 1703, had three rooms and five beds, and the beds were really comfortable. The owners even left swimming gear in the closet for guests. It was a lovely place to stay. Just keep in mind the parking ramp is low, so vans with roof carriers won't fit.
The pool area was a letdown too. We only had access to a tiny, worn-out pool and lazy river, with cracked walls and pool surfaces, missing tiles, bugs in the kiddie pool, and beach sand in the water. The photos didn't show what we ended up with. We paid $700 for two nights and three days for 7 adults, 3 teens, and 2 children. We'd booked a month and a half ahead to celebrate a birthday and graduation, so we couldn't just cancel and find somewhere else at the last minute. We sent photos and videos during the first 40 minutes to show the manager what we found, but got no compensation for any of it. The unit smelled of cigarettes and was dusty and sandy, with roaches, worn walls and floors, and old furniture that seemed like it might break if nudged. There was even sand in the dryer's lint catcher. In the kitchen, the fridge had huge dents, the dishwasher didn't work, the pans were scratched and burnt, the can opener was broken, and the knives were dull. The backsplash and stove were greasy, and the floors were sticky. Roaches, too. The beds creaked and shook whenever we moved, and there was sand on the sheets. The bed bases weren't attached to the headboards, so they shifted when you leaned on them. Lamps were broken and everything was dusty. The bathroom had holes in the wall, sand everywhere, and dingy gray towels with bleach stains and lots of old fuzz. We will never stay here again.
The place has nice rooms, but they need to clean them. There was no housekeeping, the water was off for half the day, and there was no hot water. Service was awful.
It was spacious, clean, and very nice.
