We stayed in the Phase 2 condos, and I love that area overlooking the marsh and the moat. The location is great, around Shore Dr., Apachie Pier in MB. If you don't mind an older place that could use some TLC, I think it works well there. Our biggest issue was a breaker tripping after hours. If I hadn't been able to get to it and my husband flip it, we would've had no bathroom lights overnight. They need maintenance on site or nearby around the clock. The food and service were delicious, though the 4-9 opening hours aren't ideal, and I'd like them to stay open longer. They were doing beach renourishment while we were there, which affected our beach time for a day or two. Once the work was done, the beach was much bigger, which was amazing.

We stayed in ocean unit 921 for five nights. The host kept saying the ice machines were on the 15th floor, but the building only has 11 stories. The TV didn't work in the living room or either bedroom, and even after we told the hosts (8), nobody fixed it during our stay. The furniture was dated, and the couch and loveseat needed a good cleaning. Some outlets didn't work, and the balcony sliding door was extremely hard to open. There was also a loud bathroom noise, maybe from the vent, that kept us awake. I wouldn't recommend ocean unit 921.

Don't let the outside fool you. Our condo was clean, updated, and very nice, with two bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a big living area, dining room, and kitchen. We really enjoyed staying there. The beach was easy to reach, and there was lots of parking. There are two restaurants on site, more within walking distance, and a Kroger grocery store nearby.

Being right on the beach was a great perk, and we had a nice stay. The room was mostly clean, but there were a few annoyances. The walls seemed thin, and someone next door was loud all night. People smoking on their balconies was disrespectful and disappointing. We found the TVs confusing to use, though we'd figured them out by our last day. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable, but we only used them for a couple of hours in the evening. There was a small mail area, but no stamps for sale, and we wished there were a little store nearby for essentials. The indoor pool was way too hot, and the outdoor pool area had no shade.

I've had no luck reaching a fair resolution with Capital Vacations, and I'm asking them to contact me right away to review my file and begin relinquishing my contract. I have no debt left on it, with a balance of exactly $0.00, after investing $25,000 over the years. I bought a deeded week privately in 2010 for Sands Beach Club, and I was left in the dark about the long-term legal and financial obligations. When I stayed at the resort, Capital representatives pressured me to attend sales meetings and relentlessly upgrade my unit. The sales staff lied about the financial benefits and hid that the contract would be a lifetime commitment for my family. My medical condition has changed significantly, and I can no longer spend time in the sun or take vacations. I now live just 40 minutes from the resort in Myrtle Beach, so this ownership is useless and impractical for us, and it's become a financial burden on my family.
