Seawatch Resort

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the amenities were great. We had breakfast at the Captains Cove restaurant buffet, and the food was very good. Our room was clean, with coffee and toiletries provided. It was a fantastic place to stay.

The units were clean, updated, and really nice, but the beds were horribly hard. The bathrooms are tiny, and the deluxe suite doesn’t even have a Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom doors swing inward, leaving so little room that you have to dodge them to get out. I’m used to the deluxe rooms at ocean boulevard Wyndham, with their big bathrooms, Jacuzzi tubs, extras, and comfortable beds. We tried somewhere different this time, but I’ll be going back to ocean boulevard.

The appliances seemed fairly new and all worked, but the unit wasn’t clean. Walking barefoot left my feet black, and there was long hair all over the balcony carpet. The kitchen was tiny with no storage, and the living room seating was poorly placed for watching TV. The one-bedroom layout wasn’t great, though the beachfront location was okay. I’m a Wyndham owner, and the update meeting is the worst part. They effectively make you attend to check in, tell you your account needs updating, take a deposit to get you there, then spend two hours trying to upsell you. It leaves a bad taste for the whole vacation. Wyndham, please stop.

I loved the ocean view from the balcony, and the room was clean. Getting around took a little figuring out because the resort is attached to the one next door. The HVAC fan is noisy, and breakfast isn’t included. The buffet costs $20.00. It was my first visit, and aside from those things, it’s a wonderful place to stay in Myrtle Beach. I’d highly recommend it for a vacation.
