Sheraton Broadway Plantation

For our family reunion, the spacious, clean villa-style rooms at Sheraton Broadway Resort gave everyone room to relax and made it easy for us to gather. The kids and adults all enjoyed the waterside feature, and there was plenty to do on site, including mini golf and the pool areas. It was also close to shopping, places to eat, and attractions. The comfort, convenient location, and activities made it a great reunion spot. We’d stay again.

We felt right at home, and the staff made our stay really enjoyable. The suite was lovely, and we loved the amenities. You could see the care that went into everything. It was a comfortable, pleasant place, and we’d recommend it.

The resort had so much potential, but our first room had dead baby American roaches, food crumbs under the kitchen table, and a hallway light hanging from the ceiling. We noted it all and tried to carry on. The next morning there were live American roaches in the bathroom. Looking more closely, we found multiple bugs, alive and dead, throughout the suite. We packed up fast, put our things outside to air, then loaded the car. At the front desk, staff first tried to find another room, then said they were fully booked. After going back and forth, they moved us to a different building and room. Before setting anything down, we checked and found live and dead roaches there too. We had the manager come see for herself. She said, “they are bugs I just don't know what kind.” She and the other managers seemed completely unbothered, and we had to fight to get half our money back. I’m so glad we didn’t stay in that room and could show it was the resort’s bug problem, not ours. How do you move someone to a new building and still have roaches everywhere? The shower photo was terrible, with a roach that looked like it had been decomposing for weeks. Shame on this dirty, unprofessional resort.

The room was clean and nicely updated, and the location was good. Still, as a Marriott property, this was only okay and didn’t feel much like a resort. The gym was tiny with very little equipment, and there was no flexibility to customize housekeeping during the stay. Parking cost $20 a day, and you don’t get a refund even if you check out early, which felt unreasonable and unfriendly to guests. It’s decent if you just need a clean room in a good location, but may disappoint if you expect full resort service.
