The Brewer's Lofts Above Grand Strand Brewing

The rooms are well appointed, and it’s a great concept, but you can hear everything in the building. Conversations in the rooms next door, TVs, doors opening, and cars going by through the single-pane windows. Even with 33 dB earplugs and a fan for background noise, sleep was impossible.

The room was surprisingly nice, and the price was great. Check-in is virtual, but the host rep was responsive and helpful. The location was excellent, about a four-minute walk to the beach and boardwalk, three minutes to Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and roughly a ten-minute drive from pretty much everything else. I stayed with my wife and son and thought it was awesome. If you smell gas, it’s from the beer brewing process downstairs in the brewery. As an apartment, this would be ideal for a single or unmarried person. As a hotel accommodation, I’d recommend it to anyone.

The new loft was great once we made it up the stairs. The building and lofts are gorgeous and brand new, but the elevator is broken, so you have to climb a flight of about 27 stairs, which gets to be a bit much. The place was very dusty, and my husband and I both got serious sinus infections. There’s only one window in the unit, and it’s in the walkway. It’s cute and has a fully stocked kitchen.

Clean, nice place close to everything, with easy check-in and great service. I’ll be back. Thanks, Kyle! Angela #210
