Units at St. Clements at Caravelle by Elliott Beach Rentals

The beach is just a few steps away, and the view is amazing. Service was great, and there’s a good bar and grill at the resort. The rooms were smaller than I expected but worked fine, and the beds were much smaller than they looked in the photos.

I’ve picked Caravelle Resorts for my last three trips to Myrtle Beach. The main building room didn’t disappoint, with cheerful colors and decor and those amazing oceanfront views. Best of all, there was no smelly carpet. The staff are really nice, and Amanda, my concierge rep, made the experience pleasant. She called a few days before the trip to confirm the reservation and answer any questions, and was very sweet.

The pools, hot tub, and lazy river were nice, and the beachfront location is great. The room, though, was dirty and had stained furniture, and we had to change rooms three times before finding one that was acceptable. We couldn’t get an ice bucket or a light bulb. There’s no housekeeping during your stay, even for a week, and you have to cross the street to pick up fresh towels at the front desk. The customer service was horrible, and the place needs renovating.

We’re having a lot of fun as a family so far, and the room is decorated really cutely. It looks a little better in person than in the pictures, and it has potential, though it could use a renovation or at least a paint job. The balcony view was nice, but the balcony itself was dirty and needed paint. The room was pretty nice overall. A few things could be better: neither TV was set to the right input, and it took several calls to get that fixed. The pull-out bed had only a mattress, with no sheets, which felt lazy. The vent didn’t work very well, and the bathroom bar light only came on once.
