The location made getting around Mystic easy, with Mystic Aquarium, Olde Mistick Village, and plenty of restaurants just minutes away. Check-in was simple and the staff were friendly. My room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, and microwave. It’s an affordable, solid option, and I’d stay again.

The location is good, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. The photos give a very misleading impression. The hotel mostly seemed shut down, and there were no real amenities. The pool was empty apart from a few inches of water and brown algae. Dehumidifiers were everywhere, and the place looked dingy and smelled musty. There were bugs in the bathroom, too. The building lock was broken, and the card access door didn’t even close, so the card access wasn’t doing anything.

The location was great, and the staff were responsive, professional, and friendly when they moved us to another room. The first one was dingy and smelled musty and stale, and the shower and tub were dirty, with hair and a blood stain. The second room was cleaner and better, but its sheets and blankets were dirty too. They really need better cleaning staff.

It was handy for nearby attractions and gave us somewhere to rest and sleep. Still, the place is quite dated and needs upgrades. At $350 a night, I don’t think it’s worth the price, though the other options cost even more.

The pool and restaurant were closed, and both looked like they belonged in a horror movie. The lobby’s condition should have been warning enough. As soon as we stepped into the room, there was a smell of mold mixed with dog pee. I walked right back out and said we wouldn’t stay and wanted our money back. They refunded the room charge but kept the pet fee because I’d signed the agreement. I’ve stayed in plenty of crappy hotels, but this smell made me think the room could make us sick. The place looked like a dump, almost abandoned. I wasn’t in the room long enough to judge how clean it was, but the smell said plenty.
