The people working there were genuinely caring, and the service was great. Breakfast had something from all the food groups. The rooms were very clean and new, and there are places to walk nearby. It’s also nice having the hotel next to the hospital. Great location.

The problem was the construction setup: there was no main entrance, lobby, or amenities, and the temporary front desk was in the hallway right outside our room. The constant noise and foot traffic made sleep impossible. When I asked to move, I was told the only available rooms were beside that makeshift lobby, still at $200 a night. I’ve stayed here before and had a good experience, and I usually enjoy Holiday Inn stays. I travel often, around three or four hotel trips a month, and had stayed at three other Holiday Inns just this week. This location was a major letdown compared with those. If you’re in the area, I recommend the Holiday Inn at 16245 N. Merchant Way in Nampa, ID. I’ve stayed there many times in the last 12 months, and it’s far better for the same rate, with the kind of quality travelers expect from Holiday Inn.

There aren’t many options around besides chain restaurants, but it’s a nice location, the staff are great, and we had a great stay anyway.

I was shocked to hear the property had a serious incident involving a murder in August. With circumstances like that, I expected more accountability and reassurance about guest safety. Instead of addressing concerns with added safety measures or offering any accommodation or discount, it seems the hotel has raised its prices. The lack of transparency and focus on rates over guests’ peace of mind says a lot. I’d think twice before staying here.
