The beds were good, but most of the rest was below par. The bathroom door had holes, light came through around the room door, and the thin curtains didn’t block the streetlights. The pillows were a joke. One had an old protector with a broken zipper serving as its case. The location right off the freeway is good, though we heard trucks all night. Breakfast was barely there, served only from 6 to 8, so everyone came at once. The tables were sticky with yesterday’s spilled juice and syrup, and we had to take our own chairs down from the tables.

I felt unsafe from check-in, which was late. There were questionable men sitting in the lobby, and the front desk guy announced my room number. I propped the ironing board against the door and wanted to check out early before leaving for work the next morning. When I checked out at 6:45 a.m., there wasn’t even breakfast. Given how nasty everything was, I probably wouldn’t have trusted it anyway. The owners and managers should be embarrassed to run a hotel in this condition. The whole third floor smelled of cigarettes, and the lobby smelled of cooking curry. The air conditioner was stinky and broken, and there were holes in doors and walls. The carpet had spills everywhere, and even the ice bucket and cups had weird stuff on them. Both beds had questionable stains and odors, the sheets were stained, and the pillows yellowed. One bed still had lots of hair in it. The blankets felt like rough moving blankets that had never been washed. I had to sleep on one of the threadbare towels.

We booked this place for the pool so the kids could swim instead of being stuck in the hotel room, but the water was solid green and absolutely disgusting. The room smelled terrible, with stains across the carpet and on the bedding. None of the lamps worked, knobs were broken off so they couldn’t be used, and there was a hole in the bathroom door like someone had punched it. It was Sunday, and breakfast didn’t start until nine, which is too late for people who don’t want to get up early on a Sunday. They charge as much as the good hotels but can’t maintain the property. Do your family a favor and stay somewhere else.

For a cheap hotel, it’s good enough. The room was fine, and breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Nothing special, and you might question the cleanliness, though it wasn’t bad at all. One odd thing: I was “upgraded” from two beds to one. That doesn’t feel like an upgrade, but it was fine.
