The staff greeted us so warmly and made us feel right at home. Hotel Pippa has beautiful charm in an exquisite downtown location, yet it was peaceful. My husband and I had a lovely stay, and I’d definitely recommend the morning croissants. Thanks, Hotel Pippa.

The location is perfect for anything downtown, and the staff are lovely and go above and beyond. It’s a quaint, beautiful inn, more bed and breakfast than hotel. Still, we won’t return to Hotel Pippa. Our room was the smallest we’ve ever stayed in. The bed was less than a foot from the wall, so we kept bumping our feet on the frame walking around it. There was only one tiny table for a nightstand, and it overlapped the bed, which I hit several times each night. At $700 a night, I think the room should be bigger. The mattress was so uncomfortable that after a day we were both taking Advil for our backs. There was no mini-fridge. Our bathroom was attached, unlike some other rooms, but it was tiny; the shower pressure and temperature kept coming and going, and the door wouldn’t shut. The room smelled like an old attic. It also had cable, not a smart TV, so we couldn’t stream our own shows. We could hear everything, inside and out: kids yelling in the morning in the coffee shop line, and people in neighboring rooms showering, talking, and opening and closing doors. If you get one of the larger rooms, don’t mind an extra-firm mattress or the lack of a mini-fridge, and bring earplugs, I can see it working. The location is perfect, and the staff really do go above and beyond.

My room was adorable and clean, and I slept well without any street noise. Breakfast had a nice mix of pastries and protein. The hotel is right near the shops and restaurants in the center of Nantucket, and I’d gladly stay again. I knew the bathroom was across the hall, and the only other drawback was the two sets of steep stairs with no elevator. That’s understandable in a converted historic building. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

We had three perfect nights here in July 2025, and a special thanks to Heather! The rooms are cute and clean, and the location is ideal, but the staff are what really make this place. Everything we asked for seemed to appear: a good cocktail on arrival, restaurant reservations, concert tickets, even help sorting out a laundry issue. It felt like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back.

The people were nice and responsive, and we liked the low-key little bar where breakfast was served. We just wish breakfast started before 8 a.m. The harbor area is convenient, but we definitely wouldn’t return. We booked the “ADA” room, but reaching its entrance meant tackling a seven-step staircase. The bathroom was like a phone booth, with little corner shelves positioned right over the toilet. My toiletry kit fell straight in. A wheelchair would have no chance of fitting in there. Given the location, there should be a significant discount. Noise was another problem. Drunks walking by kept us listening until 1:30 a.m., and at 4:30 a.m. we could hear people talking in the line for the bakery next door. People eating croissants and chatting outside could also see into the bathroom window while you showered. There was a raised deck with a table and benches right there, which seemed poorly thought out.
