Marco was amazing, though he seemed seriously overworked and relied on for everything from breakfast to the crowded beach. The two women at the front desk I encountered felt about as human as the AI chat you have to text whenever you need something. Check-in has to happen before 10 p.m. We were told to park farther away, then my wife and I hauled our bags over cobblestones. Nobody answered our questions, except to say the keys deactivate a lot and after 10 p.m. it can take two hours to get help. Lol. Our suite was outdated but nice enough, though the room and patio had no privacy. Poolside tables were occupied all weekend, with diners close enough to make eye contact. I wanted to jump into the pool after an early dinner, but didn’t because so many people there weren’t hotel guests. The hot tub would’ve felt awkward for the same reason. You can walk to restaurants on 5th in Old Naples, but I can’t understand why this place cost 100 times more than other Naples hotels, including the Ritz in a different area and Bellasera in the same area. At this price I expected much better service. I’ve paid much less for far more at nice hotels here and around the world. This feels like a three-star hotel charging more than a five-star one. It’s only worth it if you have money to spare and want to walk to the restaurants on 5th. Poor Marco deserves to work somewhere better.

The beach setup was a lovely surprise. We mentioned wanting to go one morning, and Marco, who was super friendly and helpful, drove us down the block in his golf cart. When we got there, the chairs, umbrella, and side table were already set up for us to enjoy the sun. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a private outdoor terrace that was a spectacular spot for morning coffee. The grounds and pool were beautifully decorated, and the landscaping was perfection. Management and staff stayed on top of every detail. We’ve traveled all over, and The Escalante is our new favorite. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks to everyone on the Escalante staff for making this such an enjoyable stay.

The service was really good, but at roughly $1,300 a night I expected more from the room. It felt tired, smelled strongly of damp and mold, and had visible mold on the ceiling.

The pool was pure paradise, gorgeous and peaceful, and a perfect place to unwind. My room was spotless and super comfortable, like a quiet retreat. Hotel Escalante is beautiful, with thoughtful design throughout. The food was unbelievable, some of the best I’ve had, and every meal felt carefully put together. The staff were kind, professional, and clearly invested in making the stay memorable. Shout out to Marco! From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. I felt pampered the whole time. It was a dream stay, and I can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a perfect place to go, Hotel Escalante is it!

We could walk from this downtown hotel to all kinds of shopping and dining, and there was no shortage of either. Our room was wonderful and had all the amenities. Marco was great with any request, whether it was help with dining or a shuttle ride for beach access. This has been one of our favorite discoveries in Naples.
