Comfort Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown – Stadium

The guitar-shaped pool was great, and I found the room very clean and comfortable, with everything recently renovated and brand new. Breakfast was good, and the employees were friendly and helpful. I was even able to check in early. I chose this hotel because it offered a free shuttle, but they no longer provide that service, so I was disappointed to find it unavailable.

I’m writing to hotel management about a serious and unprofessional incident involving a food order placed by the front desk at Comfort Inn & Suites at 303 Interstate Drive. The order was under the name Perkins Erica. She asked for the 50% discount we usually offer front desk staff, and we agreed in good faith because she had ordered from us 2-3 times before. She said she’d pay cash on delivery, but when our driver arrived, she said she didn’t have enough cash. She then tried to pay by card several times, but it was declined. Before the payment was settled, she told me on the phone that a guest had arrived to check in and that she’d call back shortly. We trusted her based on the previous orders, and our driver had other deliveries waiting, so I told him to leave the order. After some time passed without a call, I tried to reach her myself. She ignored my calls and did not respond. It’s disappointing and embarrassing that Comfort Inn & Suites would allow this kind of behavior from front desk staff. If it isn’t addressed, it could harm the hotel’s reputation and cause financial loss. I have phone recordings and other proof documenting what happened, in case anyone tries to deny or misrepresent it. The location is prime, and the day shift concierge was pleasant. But I was downgraded from the room I booked, and the TV didn’t work, with wires hanging from it. They supposedly didn’t even have key cards at the front desk to check me in.

I wanted the two rooms close together so I could keep an eye on the teenagers with me and help make sure they didn’t disturb other guests. Even good teenagers can get rowdy. When I booked, I was told the rooms would be next to each other. At the hotel I reminded the front desk, but the employee told me they were only a few doors apart. In fact, they were 20 doors away, across two corners and three hallways. When I asked for help, she was rude, short, and impatient, as if I were bothering her. She was on her cell phone, and it seemed like my concern didn’t matter. It was Thursday night, and I knew there were plenty of rooms because I’d checked right before speaking to her. I felt she simply didn’t want to do the work to sort it out, and she cut me off when I tried to explain why I wanted the rooms close. I’ve never been treated so rudely by hotel lobby staff. We won’t be returning to a Comfort Inn if this is considered acceptable customer service.
