Comfort Suites Nashville Airport - BNA

I stayed one night before a morning flight. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and breakfast had the usual choices. What stood out was how friendly the staff were, especially at the desk and with the van. I wanted breakfast, so I skipped the 8:20 van and planned to take a Lyft rather than wait until 9:20. I checked that the next van really was at 9:20, and the staff member said yes but offered to call them. Ten minutes later the van came by. The driver was super nice, and the ride saved me a Lyft.

The shower water wasn’t very hot, and its temperature differed from the tub, which kind of sucked. My room keys also stopped working randomly. The desk woman with dreadlocks/weave wasn’t very friendly. I also found the monitoring unsettling. They seem to watch guests’ comings and goings on camera, and the breakfast staff stand by the lobby looking over at people near the breakfast area like vultures. It felt uncomfortable.

I stayed in one of the suites with a whirlpool and had a nice, peaceful time. Tahjmoy was especially helpful and friendly when checking us in, and patient with all our questions. She made us feel much better about the hotel we’d booked for our vacation. The staff were so friendly, and I really enjoyed the stay. I’ll definitely come back.

Amy was great: she was friendly and got us into a room quickly. We ended up here because our flight was canceled, and otherwise we would never have come. The room, though, had so many problems that we immediately looked for another hotel within walking distance. We found one about seven minutes away on foot, and it was 1,000 times better. There was no way we were sleeping here. The room gave us the icks and made us wonder if we’d be attacked by bed bugs. The floor was the worst part. There was a clear dip in the middle, and we were afraid to walk over it in case we fell through. At least two spots had loose pieces of plywood covered by cheap carpet, and you could rock the plywood back and forth underneath. The furniture looked like it had been taken from a frat house: scuffed, falling apart, drawers that wouldn’t stay shut, and a pen shoved under the dresser’s top drawer to hold it closed. Two buffet drawers wouldn’t shut either, and the desk lamp had no shade. The mini fridge had filth on both sides, like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. In corners and near the ceiling, sheetrock and paint were cracked, peeling, and sagging. Some areas looked like obvious water damage. It was lipstick on a pig. I’m giving two stars because the receptionist was the only good thing about this hotel. Ownership should read the terrible reviews and invest in remodeling so the place doesn’t look like a frat house or pose a structural hazard. Maybe then they could keep customers and improve their reviews. Absolutely disgusting and horrible.
