I’ve been here for a few days since the storm knocked out my power, and it’s been a really nice stay. My room is spacious and clean, and the staff are polite and helpful. They also let me bring both dogs, though there is a $75 pet fee. The breakfast is free, tasty, and has lots of variety. The location off Donelson Pike is convenient, but being at the end of a dead-end road also makes it quiet and a little private. I got to use the indoor pool too, which stays open until 10 pm. Prices seem reasonable, especially for a suite. I highly recommend it.

The parking charge is what ruined this stay for me. I paid over $100 a night, yet the hotel charged another $5 each night to park in a mostly empty lot. I understand selling unused spaces to travelers flying out of BNA for $10 a day, but don’t treat parking at your hotel like an extra favor. Just include the cost in the room rate if you want more per room. People are tired of being charged for every little thing. This was enough to turn a one-star review into my view of the place. The manager spent all the time I saw him standing in the alcove behind the counter on his phone. They could save money by getting rid of him. The room had a king bed that was firm without being uncomfortable, plus a mini kitchen with a sink, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig, two-burner hot plate, dishes, soap, and sponge. The smart TV had some streaming services, with everything else locked down. The bathroom was good by hotel standards, though the shower ran out of hot water pretty quickly. The heated indoor pool was a plus, and the gym seemed to have fairly new equipment. Breakfast was okay and could be better. That plastic food shelf makes serving awkward: I had to pull the tray out because the spatula was the wrong size and you have to contort your hand, or reach blindly with extra-long tongs. The crock pot sausage was surprisingly good. The croissants were good after reheating in the toaster, but only appeared on one of the three days. Otherwise it was waffles. The breakfast was better than some I’ve had, but there’s room to improve. Kids kept running up and down the hall, which felt a bit like a daycare, though it’s not my business. On arrival we could hear the neighbor’s very loud phone call through the thin walls. After a long day in the winter storm, I went down and asked for another room. The woman at the desk was wonderful and accommodating, and didn’t ask me to explain.

Being stranded in an ice storm is stressful, and it was alarming to be told to leave in dangerous conditions when I was hours from home, had no vehicle, and wasn’t dressed for winter. I explained my situation and urgently needed to extend my stay for safety, but the staff were horribly rude. They said they had no room and required me to be out by noon. It felt as though turning over the room mattered more than guests’ basic safety. Think carefully before choosing this establishment.

We felt such warm Southern hospitality here and would definitely recommend the hotel. It’s close to the airport and has a complimentary shuttle. We arrived around 8 am for my boyfriend’s birthday trip, right at breakfast time, after being awake since 3 the night before for our flight. We weren’t expecting an early check-in, so we were grateful they let us eat, wait in the lobby, and even doze off. Samantha saw how tired we were and worked to get a room ready quickly without charging an early check-in fee. Her generosity gave the stay a lovely start. I think the breakfast attendant was named Amal. The buffet was very good, and she went out of her way to offer drinks, take our plates, and make sure we had what we needed. She was so sweet.

Diane at the front desk had our room keys ready before we arrived and had written the chaperones’ names on the key holders. She greeted us warmly, and the staff anticipated what we needed when we rented a meeting room for our team dinner. Our cross country team was in Nashville for the national meet, and the hotel was very close to the Hermitage. The rooms were perfectly clean, spacious, and stocked with more than enough of the amenities we could hope for. My one reservation is that the beds felt a bit too soft for me, though I know people have different preferences. Several people in our group had never stayed at a Home2 before and said they’d definitely stay at one again.
