The one bright spot was that the day staff were friendly and courteous in person. They didn’t follow through on their promises, though, and the night staff were hard to get a response from. The office was only open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The room was maybe a 3 out of 10. The mattress and TV looked new, and the walls seemed freshly painted, but there were no towels, toilet paper, holder for the toilet paper, soap, garbage can, phone, or shower head. The shower floor looked black, and the whole floor was dirty and sticky in spots. The sink beside the dirty stovetop didn’t work. Towels came quickly after I asked, soap took a second request, the shower head never arrived, and two requests to have the floor cleaned were ignored. The walkways were filthy too, with broken eggs I had to step around, and the visible dumpster was overflowing. From beginning to end, this was 98% a horrible experience, among the most unpleasant motel stays I’ve had.

I was here for a month, and it was quiet and felt safe. The room key machine was down, but the team would run over to let you into your room, and it was fixed on my last day. The staff, from the cleaning crew and maintenance guys to Gage and the GM, were friendly and made me feel comfortable. They’re a young team and doing the best they can with what they’ve been given. Great team!

We left after about 30 minutes because we felt so unsafe and the room wasn’t clean. When we returned around 9:30 p.m., a camera was plainly pointed out of the first room we were given, recording us, and it was clearly occupied. The on-call woman moved us, but the replacement had a twin bed instead of the queen we’d paid for and was extremely dirty, especially the unusable bathroom. Stains were everywhere, and the door didn’t close properly. We eventually decided to leave. We’d booked a room with two queen beds, but Darryl, a very friendly man, told us they no longer had one and gave us two separate queen rooms instead. We appreciated his kindness. During our short time there we encountered about ten men who seemed under the influence of drugs or alcohol. With the camera incident and seeing only male guests, our group of women felt EXTREMELY unsafe. This is a personal choice for them, but it added to our concerns. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially if you’re not male-identifying. I enjoyed talking with the general manager, but the hotel is neither safe nor clean.

The front desk staff were polite and courteous, but the rest of my two-week stay was frustrating. Housekeeping never came into the room or brought a new trash bag after I put mine out, and I got no fresh linens. I had to go downstairs for toilet paper, where the guy was nasty and rude. Office hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., were really inconvenient. Trash was lying around, and the kitchen sink had no cold water. At checkout they returned only $18 of my deposit. I’ve stayed at plenty of extended-stay places where housekeeping checks whether you need anything, and according to their own policy they should’ve come by at least after the first week. After I posted the review, I got my full deposit back and they responded promptly to my complaint.
