Moxy Nashville Downtown

The location is great if you want to be near the strip. The hotel was very clean, the lobby music was great, the restaurant was very good, and all the staff were nice. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. The room was definitely tiny, but I didn’t spend much time in it. A heads-up for light sleepers: you can hear all the music from the nearby bars, and it isn’t muffled. Our small window was on the sixth floor, and the noise went on until 2 a.m. There was a sound machine in the room, but it wasn’t working. Still, it’s a great hotel and I’d recommend it.

The manager, from the general manager down to the front desk, wouldn’t take accountability and shifted the blame instead. My family and I stayed for two days over the holidays while traveling to New York, and we were checking out Nashville, which had a great party vibe. I met an old friend staying at the hotel. After he handed his keys to the valet, he woke up to a parking ticket on his car when checking out. Neither the hotel nor the valet manager would take responsibility for it. 👎🏿

I’ve spent 26 years in the hotel and restaurant business, including time at the Ritz Carlton and boutique hotels in Savannah and Philly, and I’ve rarely seen staff show such genuine concern. Their care and passion surpassed all of those places. They weren’t following a corporate script, just doing everything they could to go beyond your needs. Special thanks to Darlene, who made sure our room had everything we needed and the doggies were happy, and to Topher, Worthy, Tyler, and Cade for their kindness and attention. Don’t change a thing. If you want a Nashville hotel with five-star personal service without a $400 price tag, this is the one. It’s a hidden gem, and you’ll have a Nashville experience to remember. I promise.

Two hotels had canceled our reservation, so I booked this one at the last minute. Our room had no window and was compact, but it was just right for two nights. The hotel is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, with an industrial look, a country singer in the lobby, and coffee available around the clock. The bed was super comfortable, and the room had everything we needed, including a hairdryer and clothes steamer. The toiletries were nice, the towels soft, and the walk-in shower spacious. The location was all we could ask for, and I’d definitely come back. We didn’t use the rooftop restaurant.
