The rooms and hotel decor felt cozy and looked amazing, but there were issues with both the valet and our room. We'd prepaid for a king bedroom, but were told it was “sold out.” After check-in, we waited another 45 minutes. They'd first said it would be just 20, and when we checked again, the room was already ready but nobody had let us know. Getting the car was a hassle every time. We requested it in the app 10 minutes ahead, as the valet instructed, then still waited 10 or more minutes while someone came out of their car to retrieve it or emerged from the break room. We often had to ask security to find the valet because calling on the radio rarely worked. The walls are thin, too, so we could hear the neighbors' conversations and other “activities.”

The location worked really well, about half a mile from broadway. We could walk there, but were far enough away that the noise didn't carry. Service was great: they let us check in early, and maintenance came right up when a nightstand light wasn't working. The rooms were clean, though all the drawers were open and the rug pulled back when we arrived. I'm not sure if that was to show the room had been cleaned. There wasn't much overhead lighting, the bed was softer than we like, and the pillows were flat, like regular hotel pillows. Shower pressure was weak, so it wouldn't have worked well for washing my thick curly hair. Valet was very good, and at $55 for overnight parking they had our vehicle ready each time we came down.

The Printing House Hotel stood out for its people, especially during the recent ice and snow storm. Travel was difficult, but the team helped guests feel safe and comfortable, and showed real care. Everyone we met was warm, professional, and proactive, making the stay feel both personal and easy. The rooms and shared spaces are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained. Gayle, the General Manager, deserves a special mention. Her thoughtful, hands-on leadership comes through in the details and in the culture she sets for the team. Even with so many good hotels in the city, The Printing House stands out, particularly when conditions are less than ideal. We'll absolutely return and recommend it without hesitation.
