Quality Inn Nashville - Bloomington

The breakfast was cold, and they used plastic utensils. The eggs and sausage were cooked well, though, and we liked the waffle maker. The food just needed a better way to stay warm. I nearly gave the hotel 4.5 stars. The lobby felt cute and homey, and staff were polite and often busy cleaning. Our room was clean and arranged well, with a long bathroom counter that was handy. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that I slept better than I do at home.

The room was clean, and the kids loved the pool, but getting a crib was unnecessarily frustrating. I asked at check-in for one for our toddler and was told none were available, even though the website said they could be requested. I checked the site again and called the desk, but the worker said she'd look into it and hung up. About 45 minutes later she brought one down, which was nice, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. At breakfast the next morning, my husband stayed in the lobby while I brought the kids out one at a time to keep things calm. He felt the desk worker was judging how long he was there, and she seemed unhappy to have our children in the lobby. It was very uncomfortable. We arrived around 2:45 on April 12, with check-in at 3, and there were no workers around until about 3:05. We won't return.

A power outage during bad weather left the stairway and bathroom without any safety lighting, so everyone had to use phone flashlights and drain their batteries. On top of that, a loud, drunk group played music in the lobby until midnight. One staff member tried to stop the party at 11, but they became belligerent and ignored her. The owner or manager was notified and did nothing, and the noise carried through the hotel. The lobby was comfortable and cute, but the stay was very noisy. Breakfast choices were limited, and the hot food was cold, which seemed like a food safety issue. This was my last stay here. Don't book during a concert weekend if you want sleep.

I had already paid for my reservation, but at the hotel they tried to charge me again for incidentals. When I pointed out that those were paid, they said they were fully booked, even though there were only four cars in the lot. It felt like a scam, and I think they should be reported. I would never stay at this Nashville, Indiana location again.
