Residence Inn by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Convention Center

Huge thanks to Nye at the front desk. Our flights were cancelled, so we were stuck in Nashville for a few extra days, and he stayed calm and worked hard to get us into new rooms so we could enjoy the extra time. Kyle at the hotel bar deserves a shout-out too. I don't think he left the bar throughout the snowstorm, and he stayed so upbeat that it was hard not to have a good time there. 10/10 to the staff for looking after a lot of cold, sad guests and keeping the service great.

The rooms at the residence inn were spacious and more modern than at some other locations, and I had a wonderful stay. Sabastien at valet was especially helpful. The team were polite and got my car back to me very quickly.

The food was great, and the hotel's bar and dining area were really nice. I was very pleased with my stay and would come back if I'm in town. It's a great value, too. The only annoyance, and there's not much they can do about it, is that the ground entrance and elevator area are a bit mazelike and confusing because the hotel shares its grounds with an adjacent hotel and a couple of restaurants.

We never got to stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Convention Center, but the staff made a stressful situation feel like a positive experience. A last-minute government shutdown forced us to cut our trip short and cancel. The team understood right away and confirmed a penalty-free cancellation because of our circumstances, which was a huge relief. The third-party booking site later failed to process the refund. When I followed up, Trae Boyd, the property manager, personally apologized for the confusion and offered to contact the booking site himself to speed things up. He and the team made us feel heard, valued, and taken care of. That kind of personal attention and initiative is rare. Based on the staff alone, we know this hotel values its guests. When we return to Nashville, the Residence Inn will be our first and only choice. Thank you, Trae and the whole Marriott team, you are amazing.
