I told the office there were spiders in the bed and mildew in the shower. The towels had toothpaste and what looked like red blood on them. They said the place was full and couldn't move us. For the spiders, he offered a can of bug spray. I asked for another towel and a pillow because of the spiders in the pillows, but he refused both, saying a room booked for two only got two towels, and again offered bug spray. This place is disgusting, like a crack motel. I'm going to call the city.

Our room smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew even though it was non-smoking, and I'm not even going to get into the bugs. The bathroom had mold around the tub and ceiling, the sink drained slowly, and there were holes in the wall with nasty walls and doors. Bedding was stained, and the towels and rags were dingy. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, just basic cleanliness. Paying a few more dollars for somewhere else would have been better. This place is still overpriced for what you get.

The hotel is huge and needs a lot of repairs, but its location and current price work for me. I stay here often, and the nicest rooms are the non-smoking ones in front of the pool. The front desk clerk is really friendly and always agrees when I need a late checkout.

There were three of us in the room, but only two towel sets, and when my grandson and I asked the front desk for more, the guy said no, two per room. I've stayed in hotels all the time and a two-bed room usually has a maximum occupancy of four, so are we supposed to share towels? My daughter booked and paid, but if I had paid I'd have asked for a refund. It was run down enough that I checked carefully for bed bugs, thankfully I didn't find any. I wouldn't have stayed if I had. There was mold around the bathtub tiles, a toilet seat broken at one hinge, and a bathtub drain that didn't work. Water collected while showering, and I had to hold the old, completely broken drain lever down to get it to drain. The phone cord to the handset was cut when we arrived. The front desk guy came right away to replace it, but how could housekeeping miss something so obvious? The curtains couldn't close because pieces were missing from the top where they hang on the rod, so my daughter used a hair clip to hold them shut. The non-smoking room bedding had burn holes, the lampshades were dusty as hell, and the mattresses were old. Neither my daughter nor I will stay here again.
