SpringHill Suites by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Convention Center

The hotel itself is nice, and the evening employees were amazing, but the morning service was a one-star experience. I'm a Platinum Elite member and travel frequently, so I know how hotels work, yet the front desk woman treated me like I was stupid when I asked a basic question. She acted as if helping me was a favor. She had no name tag or identification, so I can't give you her name. She shouldn't be the face of the hotel; if she's a good employee, put her in an office away from customers. We were there for 15 hours, and the valet tried to charge $162 for my Tahoe as an oversized vehicle, even though the sign clearly said $70. We had to go to his office to get him to bring our car out in 25 degree weather. We were given three different parking prices and had to argue about it, then waited 20 minutes in the cold just to get the car. This was the worst Marriott experience I've had, and the lack of care this morning makes me never want to return. Please train the valet and front desk staff in customer service.

Valet parking was the best part of the trip. The blonde kid who's been there for four years was outstanding over the weekend, though I can't remember his name. Today's attendants, Kaleb and Sebastian, did a fabulous job too.

I was in town for a two-day conference, and the stay made things easy. The room was clean, with a nice hot shower and great AC. Breakfast had a good selection, the morning staff were friendly, and the breakfast room looked out over the music city center. I liked the lighting and overall look. There's even a Lego set of the hotel in the lobby. I took a picture for my kids, and they loved seeing it. The valet team were fantastic too. Blake and Devon were phenomenal. I saw them sprint up the garage hill more than once to fetch guests' vehicles and bring them back down. That's service. Thanks so much!

I had one of the worst Marriott stays in my more than 20 years with the brand. The hotel is somewhat nice, but the service felt like two-star service, and everyone at the Springhill lacked basic Marriott customer service. I'll give manager Catherine credit for trying to address the staff's poor service. The rate was different from the price I'd been quoted on the phone, and nobody mentioned a $60.00 parking charge for this two-star hotel. The valet said no other parking was available. This was my worst Marriott experience. Avoid it!
