My boyfriend and I had to stay in a hotel for a few nights while our house was being renovated. After we got home, we both found bed bugs on us. When he called the hotel, they accused him of lying and offered nothing for the trouble. They called back later claiming they had checked the room and found nothing, which we know isn’t true. I work at a hospital, and bed bugs are my biggest fear. There’s nothing I can do now except never stay here again, but people should know what they may be walking into. They don’t seem to care at all.

I stayed five nights and had no complaints. The rooms were clean, room service was great, and the staff were nice.

The shower was the last straw. My husband and I wanted to wash up before heading downtown Nashville, but there was no hot water even after I let it run full blast for over 15 minutes. I told him we were leaving a day early, then went to the desk to check out and asked for the third night to be refunded to my card. The man there said he’d have to ask his manager. There had already been a string of problems. The A/C wouldn’t go below 78 degrees, and its fan kept shutting off. The phone didn’t work. Neither did the TV, so I went down to report it. A woman brought a cable and connected it to the box, with no luck. She tried a new box, still nothing. Then a man came with five boxes, and the TV finally worked with the fourth one.

I’m riding my bike across the country, and this motel has been above average across the board. It’s maintained well and clean, with a decent size room, a nice pool out back, and a sensible free breakfast that runs until 9 a.m. I’d call it a business-class motel. It’s a bit hidden behind the neighboring Days Inn, so drivers may stop there first and miss this place. That might explain the lower nightly prices. There’s a Waffle House just to the south and Chicago Gyros across the street.
