The Gilmore, an AvantStay Hotel

The Gilmore Hotel is a cute boutique spot with lots of character, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. It made exploring Nashville easy, and I had a great stay. I’d consider coming back. This was my first time using an app to check in, and I was unsure at first. Once I downloaded it, the process was actually very easy. Parking is convenient but costs $40 per day. My tip is to finish check-in and get your parking code first.

I brought my dog, and we had an easy, fun time from the breeze of check-in through our stay in the spacious, comfortable suite. The hotel, its people, and the amenities were amazing. There was lots to explore on foot in the 12 South area, and little extras like fresh-baked morning treats, coffee, and music in the garden were lovely. Everyone was sweet. Kimberly R helped me a lot, Mike was nice, and the two Kristen’s were great too. I’m grateful and will definitely visit again.

The location is amazing, but that’s about it. The room wasn’t very clean on Saturday night. Room 218 badly needed vacuuming and mopping. After 30 minutes walking barefoot, our feet were black. The shower floor was dirty too. The bed was okay, but if you like a fluffy bed like I do, this one isn’t for you.

We had a four-bedroom suite for my bachelorette weekend with friends, and there was more than enough room for all of us. It was spotless and modern, with a well-equipped kitchen that kept us comfortable. There are shops, restaurants, and several coffee places within walking distance. The lobby serves frothy monkey coffee and had scones to take each morning. The location was absolutely amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. After check-out, we left our suitcases there while we kept exploring before heading to the airport. The stay was even more perfect than I could have imagined. I totally recommend this place and will stay again when I visit Nashville. It’s truly a gem.
