Belle Mer 1102

We stayed in 203 for a little over a week, and everything else was great. I’d suggest improving security, perhaps with a pass for the parking lot. As it is, anyone walking by can get into the pool or building.

BEWARE OF UNIT 1103. We’ve stayed at Belle Mer several times, but this unit was a huge letdown. The bedrooms’ carpets smelled, and there was a musty odor throughout. The toilet kept running, and the dryer took two hours to dry three towels, which were still damp. Some patio furniture was missing, so we couldn’t have family meals outside. The living room furniture was dirty, and the pots and pans were warped, so cooking wasn’t possible. Our family had traveled from three different states, and everyone ended up sick. Thankfully, relatives in another unit let us use their amenities. When we contacted the rental company, they only said they’d been trying for years to get the owner to update the place. I’d return to Belle Mer, just never to this unit.

We enjoyed the stay, but parking was a problem. There aren’t any painted lines, so people squeeze in wherever they can. That leaves big gaps that many mid-size cars can’t fit into, and there are hardly enough spaces for a condo this large. If you head out in the evening, you may come back to find nowhere to park.

Bel Mer is rockstar accommodations. The three-bedroom condo has a third bedroom set up as its own apartment, with a bay-facing balcony, kitchenette, and whirlpool tub. This is the premier place to stay!
