The room itself was clean and very nice, and I slept well. The hotel is beautiful and well located, but the service was among the worst I’ve had in more than 25 years of business travel. I arrived at 8 PM and waited over 15 minutes for someone to show up at the desk, with no other guests waiting. At 8 AM I went down hoping for coffee, but there were no cups and the pot was empty. The eggs and sausage were gone too, so I took a bagel. When I tried to adjust the toaster, a staff member reprimanded me like I was two years old. I returned to my room to make coffee, but the pot wouldn’t turn on. I packed up and tried downstairs once more. The cups had been replaced, but there was still no coffee. If a clean, nicely appointed room in a good location is all you need, this place is great. Just be aware it’s a new hotel and the staff don’t seem up to speed on service yet.

My family stayed here over the holidays and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is new, clean, and has thoughtfully designed rooms with great views of the Sound and, way out yonder, the Gulf. The hot breakfast options were delicious and above average, and the amenities looked very inviting. The views are a 10 out of 10.

We stayed three nights over New Year’s Day and had an excellent experience. From our balcony and bedroom on the bay side, we could see fireworks in several directions. It was absolutely beautiful. The brand-new hotel has lovely modern rooms, free parking, a bar on the first floor, and an extremely warm, nice staff. I’ll be back, and this is where I’ll stay.

The location is great and the hotel is new, but the cleaning was poor throughout our five-night stay. We had to ask several times for the room to be cleaned, and housekeeping barely did it. We had two queen beds and a sofa bed, but the housekeeper made only one bed. The floors were dirty, a drinking glass had lipstick on it when we arrived, the extra blanket smelled bad, trash was left behind, and toiletries weren’t replenished. In the other room, there was a used towel and trash by the door, so we weren’t the only ones unhappy with housekeeping. The front desk men were nice, and the person running breakfast was sweet and courteous. I’m being generous with three stars. If they don’t keep the place clean, it’ll look run down within a month. We won’t stay again.
