La Palmilla Texas

The casita had everything we needed, with three bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living area. We also slept incredibly well, possibly on the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had. The attention to detail around La Palmilla was impressive, and the chapel’s stained glass was beautiful, with every piece seeming to tell a story. It would be lovely for a small wedding, a quiet retreat, or a family reunion. We could really relax, disconnect, and spend time with the people we love. We’ll be back.

The pool area and views made for lovely afternoons outside, and little touches like fresh towels by the pool were much appreciated. The hosts were welcoming, and the housekeeping team kept every room spotless throughout our stay. Inside, the villa was beautifully furnished with luxurious details, from the kitchen appliances to the bathroom fixtures. Everything felt thoughtfully chosen for comfort and convenience. We had all the amenities we needed, and the property was top-notch. It was a comfortable, luxurious stay that exceeded our expectations.

We found some really good pizza and empanadas from the food truck, which was a relief when we were wondering where we’d get food. The facilities and rooms were beautiful, and the place felt peaceful and relaxing. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We also went into Glen Rose and enjoyed its restaurants and shops. We decided on a last-minute Thanksgiving trip since we had no friends or family nearby, but wanted to stay close to DFW. La Palmilla looked like a great fit, and it was.

We ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much. My boys spent six hours fishing at the Brazos River, with no screens, just having fun. The pool was beautiful, and the family-friendly atmosphere was calm, with happy guests and no loud parties. This place felt like a reset, and I’d been looking for a peaceful, upscale getaway near Dallas. We usually go to Broken Bow, but La Palmilla was much closer and felt even more special. The grounds were immaculate, and the staff clearly took pride in the details. Elias, the laid-back manager, was wonderful, and McKenna was a dynamo, always moving around to make sure things were right. violet at La Fonda, the on-site food truck, had delicious empanadas and pizza. The peaceful setting felt restorative, almost like being with God. It’s not Disneyland, but for the outdoors, it felt like Disneyland. From the hospitality and vibe to the outdoor background music, everything was perfect. Five stars, hands down. We can’t wait to return!
