The pool was nice, and if you’re decent, you’ll probably be fine here. It’s a cheap place to sleep near the ocean, but appearances are misleading and the employees came across as judgmental and unhelpful. After I extended my stay for two more nights, I was nearly thrown out over a bathroom exhaust fan. I’m a decent-sized guy, and if I’d been hanging from it, the ceiling would have caved in. The maintenance man said the fan had no support and that someone had unbolted it from the stud. The bathroom door also vibrated loose. It wasn’t aligned with the walls, and you had to slam it, then lift it to get it to fit. I wasn’t going to pay for a fan that was rigged into a tile without support. The maintenance employee said the same thing. Don’t ask the maid for extra towels or hygiene supplies unless you want her to lose her mind. You can drink in most places around here if you’re not stupid about it.

The pictures made the hotel look much better than it was. There was clear tape over cracks in the windows, electrical tape on holes in the curtains, flies inside the room, and an overwhelming smell. The front desk was very unprofessional. I told them the room and hotel weren’t up to par and that I didn’t want the room, but they still charged my friend’s card for the stay. We took the loss and went somewhere else. I’d give it no stars if I could.

We only booked this place because our Airbnb fell through and the location worked for our weekend. When we got back after being out all day, we stopped at the office for towels and toilet paper. We’d left the DND sign up because we didn’t want anyone in the room while we were away, especially with valuables there and the area feeling less than ideal. The guy at the desk laughed and said it was our fault, then refused to give us anything. After a lot of back and forth, he finally gave us supplies while ridiculing us. This happened every time we asked. Later, housekeeping was rude and belittling, and threatened an extra charge because a used face towel had makeup on it. The TV didn’t work, the room was disgusting, and bugs were all over everything. The place needs a huge upgrade, including the rooms and the people running it. I’ll never stay again.

We booked at the last minute on the website and could walk to the train station. My wife and I loved the room: the king bed was very comfortable and there was a jacuzzi. Some of the decor looked old at first, though I think they’re remodeling. For the price, it was hard to beat.
